LOW-E glass is a low emissivity glass, which is coated on the surface of the glass and formed by reducing the emissivity E of the glass to below.
Characteristics of LOW-E glass:
1. High infrared reflectivity, capable of directly reflecting far-infrared thermal radiation.
2. The surface emissivity E is low, and the ability to absorb external energy is small, resulting in less heat energy being re radiated.
3. The shading coefficient Sc has a wide range and can control the amount of solar energy transmission as needed to meet the needs of different regions.
4 The LOW-E film layer is coated with a silver layer, which can reflect over 98% of far-infrared thermal radiation, thus directly reflecting heat like a mirror reflecting light. The shading coefficient Sc of LOW-E can be adjusted from to, allowing for the regulation of direct solar radiation entering the room as needed.
The function of LOW-E glass:
In winter, indoor temperatures are higher than outdoor temperatures, and far-infrared thermal radiation mainly comes from indoors. LOW-E glass can reflect it back into the room to keep the indoor heat from dissipating. LOW-E glass still allows some solar radiation from outdoors to enter the room, and this energy is absorbed by indoor objects and converted into far-infrared thermal radiation, which remains indoors.
In summer, outdoor temperatures are higher than indoor temperatures, and far-infrared thermal radiation mainly comes from outside the city. Low-e glass can reflect it out to prevent heat from entering the room. For outdoor solar radiation, LOW-E glass with low shading coefficient can be chosen to restrict its entry into the room, thereby reducing certain costs (air conditioning costs).
